			<title>UDOT Travel Warning Ahead of Big Winds Tonight -- April 8, 2013</title>

				<div><p><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: small;">UDOT has just issued a <strong>travel warning</strong> in the following news release:</span></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><span style="font-family: trebuchet ms,geneva; font-size: small;">UDOT is issuing a travel warning due to high winds and snow expected Monday evening through Tuesday morning in parts of Utah.</span></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><span style="font-size: small;">Extreme wind conditions are expected along Interstate 15 from Bountiful to Tremonton, on U.S. Highway 6 between Price and Green River, and U.S. Highway 40 from Vernal to the Colorado border from around 8 p.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday.</span></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><span style="font-size: small;">The hardest hit areas are expected to be Centerville, Farmington and Kaysville, with wind gusts possibly reaching 70 to 90 mph between midnight and 4 a.m.</span></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><span style="font-size: small;">UDOT also expects I-80 in the West Desert to see 40-55 mph wind gusts from 4 p.m. through midnight. Wind gusts exceeding 45 mph may pose a danger to high profile vehicles (semis, trailers and RVs). </span></em></p>
<p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em><span style="font-size: small;">Heavy road snow is also expected in the eastern mountains and on I-15 from Scipio to Cedar City. UDOT recommends motorists limit travel along these routes through Tuesday morning.</span></em><b> <br /></b></p>

<div>Areas of slushy to snow covered roads will impact the Tuesday morning along the Wasatch Front.<br />Currently many routes, especially on the east benches are experiencing snow covered roads. Please<br />travel with caution today.<br /><br /><strong>Forecast for 5:30 A.M. Tuesday through 11 P.M. Tuesday</strong><br /><br /><strong>Road Weather Highlights</strong><br /><br />
<ul>
<li>Road snow will impact the Tuesday morning commute and the Tuesday evening commute along the Wasatch Front. The Tuesday morning commute will see the greatest impact.</li>
<li>Road snow will impact the <strong>I-15 Corridor between Spanish Fork and Cedar City</strong> after 7 A.M. Tuesday. The greatest road snow accumulations will occur over the <strong>summits near the I-70 Jct.</strong></li>
<li>Blowing snow, reduced visibilities, and wind gusts of 45+ mph between 8 A.M. and 8 P.M.Tuesday will impact <strong>I-80 west of Salt Lake City, I-84 north of Tremonton, US-40 nearStrawberry Reservoir, US-6 over Soldier Summit, SR-30 west of I-84, SR-10/I-70 near Fremont Junction</strong>, and routes in the <strong>West Deserts</strong>.</li>
